Dear Mosaic Family,
Amid this holiday season, we are thinking of you, our extraordinary community that has made our work possible. With your support, we have cultivated peace in the world by reaching the hearts and minds of more than 4,000 young people who have participated in our outdoor school. We have reached thousands more through our in-school programs and Youth Leadership Project. We are deeply grateful to you.

Mosaic Holiday Gifts
In celebration of the holiday season, we are excited to launch our new original Mosaic merchandise! We invite you to continue supporting The Mosaic Project as you do your holiday shopping. We have partnered with Cafepress to offer an extended line of clothing, bags and other exciting items with the Mosaic logo on them. Also, check out our new, unique gold and silver plated Mosaic logo necklaces, as well as our award-winning CD, The Mosaic Project Presents: Children’s Songs for Peace and a Better World, both available on our website. These all make great gifts for the peacemakers in your life. Please also consider making a donation in someone’s honor as a holiday gift. A school principal shared the following letter with us, written by a parent of a Fall 2008 Mosaic student. We found this letter to be a true reflection of the holiday spirit. We hope it inspires you as much as it did us.
Dear Family,
I know it is early to start thinking about Christmas, but I wanted to share our son’s wish with you. He has expressed to me on several occasions that he does not want gifts this year. Instead, he would like money to be given to a charity. This fall, he had the opportunity to participate in a diversity project at school, called The Mosaic Project. He went away for a week to learn about peace and how to help the future. We were so impressed with what he learned - he came back describing various activities that really helped bring home for him the idea of how fortunate we are. We go to bed with food in our tummies every night. We haven’t lost a family member to a violent crime. Many of the students with whom he participated were not this lucky.
He was so touched by the experience that he would like to ask that for Christmas, instead of receiving gifts, that donations be made to The Mosaic Project, so that other children may have the same opportunities as he did. He says that if everyone in the world could experience a week of Mosaic, the world would be a better place. As the emphasis for the week was 'stand in another's shoes', I believe this is true. We hope that you will honor his wish by forgoing a gift to him and making a donation instead. You can do so online at http://www.mosaicproject.org/donatedollars. Thank you for being a part of our son's life in such an important way. Together we are raising a special person!
Together we are raising a special generation of peacemakers! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
We wish you a peaceful and joyous holiday season and New Year!
Peacing it together,
The Mosaic Team
