Mosaic in the News

Dear Friend of Mosaic,

We have received some exciting new press coverage and want to share it with you!

Yes! Magazine just wrote three pieces about The Mosaic Project and Brett Dennen:

The main article - Brett Dennen: My Most Important Songs

An interview with Brett about his work with The Mosaic Project - Brett Dennen on the Healing Power of Music

Our Empathy Song and video on the Yes! Magazine website

"It's easily the most important thing I've ever done," says Brett Dennen. "The work I've done at Mosaic has a direct effect on those kids. That impact will live on a lot longer than my songs are going to be remembered."

The main article is featured in Yes! Magazine's new issue, America: The Remix, which looks at how people all over the country are helping to build a truly just and inclusive multiracial society. If you enjoyed the article and are inspired to subscribe to Yes! Magazine, they have made a special introductory offer to the Mosaic community. If you subscribe to YES! today you will get four inspirational, ad-free issues-for $10 (regular price $24). America: The Remix will be the first issue in your subscription. Mosaic does not benefit from your subscription, but we are pleased Yes! Magazine has offered our community this limited discount and that they are also helping us to promote our important work.

We were also featured in the newsletter (PDF) of the International Community School in Oakland, where we piloted our new comprehensive In-School Project.

"The students who participate in The Mosaic Project come away with such a profound experience that you can't help but notice a change in who they are," says 4th-grade teacher Alejandro Estrada. "They don't just walk away with memories from this trip, but with social skills that will help them go into the world to make it a more peaceful place to live in."

This all would not happen without the help of you, our community. Thank you for supporting us in our work to make the world a more peaceful place.

Peacing it together,
Lara and the rest of the Mosaic Team
